If you think you may need a little more horsepower after purchasing a smaller (7hp) engine, the Stump-Jumper frame assembly can be updated to fit an 14hp engine.
For updating to a 14hp engine, an updated coupling and propeller are needed. All updates are at the owner’s expense.

13hp (14hp) Stump-Jumper Mud Motor Testimonial

"I purchased a 13hp Stump-Jumper last summer/fall (2017), and have enjoyed using it since. It is well put together and runs my 15x42 boat 16 mph. With two/three people and gear it runs 11/12 mph. Not bad for a 13, boys! It takes me places no regular outboard will. Plus, I've had a surface drive before, and while it's nice for speed, it did not come out of sticky situations like my Stump-Jumper longtail. Also, the surface drives are expensive....and with a lot more moving parts. I'll always have longtails from now on. I've been in and out of places with only inches of water. "Bill's baby" doesn't slow down or stop. Living in NC, most of the places I hunt require long distance hauls. No worries, my 13hp gets me there just fine, and most importantly, safely. I have all the confidence in it. My boat is rated for a 25 hp, and I hope Bill will manufacture an 18 or 23hp some day....you cannot beat his quality, customer service, dependability, and price. Well done, Bill. Keep up the good work. Bonus - I've had an incredible duck season, too. Photos to follow."
